Jaibunnisa R is the state convener of Tamil Nadu and has been an active member of BMMA    since 2007. She is a human rights defender; she had   received experience from working different organizations and started a voluntary Organization named Manitham Trust based in Dindigul, especially to work for the Marginalized women and children. She is the Chair Person for Manitham Trust since 2005.
She is an MA in sociology and a Diploma holder in Civil engineering and has been working with marginalized communities, especially women and children since last 12 years. She has worked with tsunami victims in the Puducherry region. She also worked as a State coordinator, of “Arunodhaya”, a Non-Governmental Organisation based in Chennai.  Arunodhaya works for the rights of children and marginalised women.  At Arunodhaya she got an opportunity to played a great role in initiating a Forum for promotion of children participation in Tamilnadu and pudhucherry  ( FCMRP-TN&P)
Through MANITHAM TRUST, she empowers women and children to raise their voices against rights violation and facilitates their demand for entitlements. She helps women to get interest free loans, conducts vocational training, facilitate women to start different income generation programmes, Family counseling for needies and runs free evening centers for promotion of children’s education. She is active part of different networks and Forums of Women, Muslim women & Children.

Pudhiya puyal a monthly magazine honor the service of MANITHAM TRUST and gave a best social worker award to Ms. Jaibunisha on 15.08.10 by Hon. Minister. K. Ramachandran at coonur and the coonoor merchants association gave a best state level social worker award on 2011
